
I have been involved in the fitness industry for 12 years.
WOW!!! Time flies.
I wasn’t always fit.
I was once an out of shape kid trying to figure out how not only to survive but thrive in a world where appearance matters During my younger years I was constantly made fun of by friends and family for being husky. My weight began to balloon when my life got crazy during my teenage years. I realized I had to do something if I was going to be able to play the sports I loved and be as active as I wanted to be.
I started to work out with the intention of playing college football. I worked harder than anyone in the gym and after four years of hard work I went from being a fat kid to lean and muscular. I actually became a decent athlete in the process as well, but not good enough to play Division I Football.
In the process of trying to obtain the goal of playing college football, I had created exercise habits that allowed me to continue working out. I even started getting passionate about fitness and started talking to people who looked like I wanted to look. With a little reading and some advice from people who were in the know about fitness, I was able to advance beyond what I thought was imaginable. I saw more progress in the gym in one year than I did in the four years previous.
The studying and learning never stopped. I wanted to figure out how to create the best fitness program for me, one that included a nutrition plan. My desire to help others achieve the results I had achieved, and to improve their health, drove me to receive a B.S. from Brigham Young University in Exercise Science. I have also studied under some of the most recognized personal trainers and athletic trainers in the fitness industry. I believe knowledge is power and I have taken the best from each individual, book and certification to develop the most effective fitness programs available.
I am truly driven by the desire to help individuals achieve their optimal health and higher levels of self worth. I believe that improving your physical health drives improved performance in one’s personal, social, emotional and spiritual lives.
I have successfully built an in-home personal training company and personal training studio. As a personal trainer I have worked specifically with weight reduction, fitness maintenance and performance enhancement. I will lead you to success and help you create habits with long-term results.
